Do I have to make an appointment?
Well yes & no. No appointment is necessary for painting pottery or making mosaics. Walk-ins are always welcome. We take our last painters/mosaic customers one hour before closing. We DO require appointments for our unique Create Your Own Silver Jewelry because it requires a Lilly Ollo Pro to teach you the process. Please see our Silver Jewelry page for more info.
Will the pottery paint wash out of my children’s clothing?
Yes, ceramic paint is completely washable and is also non-toxic thus making it very “kid friendly”.
What is your studio fee?
Our prices are all-inclusive. The price you see on each item includes the item itself, your choice of paint colors, the glazing, and the firing process. (I n the case of mosaics, it includes the wooden piece, basic glass tiles, glue, grout, & grout kit)
Will you fire work that has been done elsewhere?
Yes, from time to time, we will fire work done elsewhere. However, we reserve the right to refuse to fire ANY piece that doesn’t appear to be completed in the proper manner.
Can you bring food or beverages to parties, events, etc.?
Yes, we welcome food and beverages at our studio, however, we ask that you stay away from especially greasy foods such as french fries. You are welcome to bring in beverages. Additionally, all parties are allowed to bring in food items and on Girls' Night Out nights, you are welcome to bring in beer & wine.
Do you do custom and/or commissioned work?
Absolutely. Our staff will be happy to design a commissioned piece to your liking. Our artists are very talented, so we constantly have orders. Please note that pricing depends on how complicated your design is. Custom Pottery takes typically 14-21 days, however painted wooden step stools, canvases, tile frames & portraits may take longer.
How long does it take to get a finished piece back?
Most of the time, we will contact you after 7-10 days to let you know that your piece is ready to be picked up. However, please bear in mind that during holiday rush time, it may take as long as 10-15 days to have your piece completed. All custom/commisioned pottery orders are around 14-21 days. We also offer Rush Pricing. We call you once your piece is out of the kiln & packaged. On the other hand, mosaics are ready to take home that day, and you can grout your piece at home 24-36 hours later.
