It's Easy to Paint Pottery!
1. Pick out the piece of pottery you wish to paint.
This may take a while- we have over 200 pieces to choose from!
2. Pick your paint colors. One of our staff members will help you get started. We have many tips we can share with you.
3. Happy painting! If you need inspiration, browse through one of our "Idea Books". We take a lot of pictures of customer work. You may even find your piece in The Idea Book!
4. Leave your finished pottery with us so we can glaze and
fire it. We will package it and call you when it is finished!
Most pottery is completed within 7-10 days.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to make an appointment?
No appointment is necessary. Walk-ins are always welcome. However, if you have a party of 6 or more people, we do appreciate your calling ahead so that we are adequately staffed.
Will the paint wash out of my children’s clothing?
Yes, ceramic paint is completely washable and is also non-toxic thus making it very “kid friendly”.
What is your studio fee?
Our prices are all-inclusive. The price you see on each item includes the item itself, your choice of six (6) paint colors, the glazing and firing charges.
Will you fire work that has been done elsewhere?
Yes, from time to time, we will fire work done elsewhere. However, we reserve the right to refuse to fire ANY piece that doesn’t appear to be completed in the proper manner.
Can you bring food or beverages to parties, events, etc.?
Yes, we welcome food and beverages at our studio, however, we ask that you stay away from especially greasy foods such as french fries. You are welcome to bring in beverages. Additionally, all parties are allowed to bring in food items and on our Girls' Night Out, you are welcome to bring in whatever your “favorite” beverage is to drink.
Do you do custom and/or commissioned work?
Absolutely. We not only have a variety of designs for weddings and birth announcements, but we will also be happy to design a commissioned piece to your liking. Please note, however, that we do charge an extra fee for this work depending upon how complicated your design is.
We also offer "Extra Painting," where all you have to do is bring your child in, we will help you with the foot/handprints, then we will paint it for you! This ranges from $5 and up, depending how much we are adding. Typically, if we are adding a name, date and stripes or polka dots on a dinner plate, we charge $15.00.
How long does it take to get a finished piece back?
Most of the time, we will contact you after 7-10 days to let you know that your piece is ready to be picked up. However, please bear in mind that during holiday rush time, it may take as long as 10-15 days to have your piece completed. All custom/commisioned orders are around 14-21 days.
